La caccia allo zaino continua. Il numero di questo comodo accessorio proveniente dal passato aumenta di giorno in giorno e per le strade lo si vede sulle spalle di sempre più persone (la pelle è il materiale più quotato). E' ufficialmente un trend.

The backpack hunting continues. The number of this comfortable accessory coming from the past is increasing day by day, and on the streets you can see it on the shoulders of more and more people (leather is the most wanted material). It is now officially a trend.

London Fashion Week 2011

Vago per le strade di Londra cercando di non pensare al vento freddissimo, nonostante la giornata soleggiata, e al fatto che sto camminando sui tacchi da quasi un'intera giornata (un record personale). Sono riuscita ad aggiudicarmi alcuni inviti per le sfilate dei nuovi e giovani talenti inglesi (alcune decisamente degne di nota) e tra uno show e un altro riesco a concentrarmi sulle persone che affollano le zone principali dedicate al LFW e a crearmi una piccola raccolta di foto che, a mio parere, dicono molto di Londra e soprattutto dello spirito della settimana della moda.
Ho deliberatamente evitato di fotografare i soggetti più appariscenti. Mi perdonino gli eccentrici e i fashion addicted, non ho nulla contro l'appariscente e l'estremamente plateale, anzi!, è stata solo una scelta dovuta alla filosofia del blog. Enjoy!

I walk on the streets in Central London, trying to not think about the cold wind, despite the sunny day, and that I am walking on high heels for nearly an entire day (a personal record). I have some invitations for the fashion shows of some new and young British talents (some of them also very notable) and between one and another show I can concentrate myself on people who crowd the major areas reserved to LFW and to collect a small collection of photos that, in my opinion, they tell a lot about London and especially about the spirit of the Fashion Week.
I deliberately avoided to take photos of the most striking subjects. I hope that eccentric people and fashion addicted forgive me, I have nothing against the flashy and the extremely dramatic, I like it indeed! It is only been a choice due the philosophy of this blog. Enjoy!

Londoners #004# - rainy days

In totale contrasto con la splendente giornata che oggi Londra offre, questo nuovo post è dedicato a una piccola selezione di quello che ho colto nelle scorse settimane di pioggia, sperando che quest'ultima tardi a ripresentarsi :)

In contrast to the shiny day that today London is offering, this new post is dedicated to a small selection of what I caught during the last rainy weeks, hoping that the rain will not return too soon :)

Regola numero 2: se vivi a Londra approfitta dei (tanti) giorni di pioggia per scovare nuovi trends. La mia fissazione? Gli stivali di gomma!

Rule number 2: if you live in London take advantage of the (many) rainy days to find out new trends. My obsession? The rain boots!

 

Londoners #003# - girls edition

Regola numero 1: se vivi a Londra approfitta delle (poche) belle giornate di sole e dei weekend per andare a caccia di stile, qualcuno disposto a prestarsi come esempio lo si trova sempre :)

Rule number 1: if you live in London take advantage of the (few) sunny days and weekends to have some cool hunting, you will always find someone happy to be an example :)

Street trends - Longchamp bag #001#

Ultimamente sono ossessionata da questa borsa: il brand è LONGCHAMP, il modello è conosciuto come Le Pliage, la borsa comoda perchè 'pieghevole' e facile da maneggiare. Semplice e perfetta combinazione di tela e pelle, risulta sempre nuova e mai noiosa grazie al fatto che viene continuamente proposta in nuovi colori in un piacevole contrasto con l'immutabile colore della pelle.
Esiste dal 1993...ora la vedo al braccio di un numero sempre più alto di persone, a volte autentica, altre volte un'imitazione, ma è anche da questo che si capisce quando qualcosa prende piede nella moda :)

Lately I am obsessed with this bag: the brand is LONGCHAMP, the sample is known with the name of 'Le Pliage', the handy bag because is 'pliable' and easy to handle. Simple and perfect combination of canvas and leather, it appears ever new and never boring thanks to the fact that this bag is constantly promoted in new colors, in a good contrast with the unchangeable color of the leather.
Le Pliage collection exists since 1993...now I see it handled for ever more people on the streets, sometimes is the authentic one, sometimes is fake, but is also from this thing that we know when something good is becoming a trend in the fashion world :)

Londoners #002#

Ciò che la città offre è una gran quantità di spunti e di stili decisamente interessanti... impossibile restare impassibili. L'occhio coglie quello che lo colpisce, la macchina fotografica archivia ciò che l'occhio vede, e questo per me è un bene. 
(per fortuna) La ricerca è ancora lunga.

What the city is offering is a massive quantity of ideas and styles...it is impossible to be impassive. Eyes catch what they are attracted from, the camera registers what the eye  sees, and this is good for me.
(luckily) The search is not finished.

E bentornato sia il caro, vecchio, comodo (finalmente si ritorna all'uso di entrambe le spalle, che non è mai male) zaino! Ora reinterpretato e modellato per il gusto odierno, anche se di retrò ha sempre qualcosa. A me piace.

Welcome back to our dear, old, comfortable (finally we can use again both shoulders, definitely not a bad thing) backpack! Now we can see it re-interpreted and modeled for the today taste, even if it always has a touch of retro. I like it.
